2023 Singapore Aikido Seminar with Yamashima Sensei

In October 2023, we returned to Singapore to attend the International Aikido Seminar with Yamashima Takeshi Sensei. This journey became even more meaningful as some of my students joined me on the international tatami for the first time. Together, we trained, learned, and experienced the wider Aikido community beyond our own dojo.
Training under Yamashima Sensei, alongside friends from Mumei Shudan Dojo and practitioners from different countries, brought us new insights and renewed inspiration. For my students, it was a valuable opportunity to learn directly from my teacher and experience the friendships that Aikido can create across dojos and borders.
Beyond the tatami, our shared meals, conversations, and time together strengthened the bond between teacher and students while opening the door to new friendships. These moments from Singapore marked another meaningful step in our journey — a path no longer walked alone.
