2022 Singapore Aikido Seminar with Yamashima Sensei

In October 2022, soon after international travel resumed following the COVID-19 restrictions, I returned to Singapore to attend an Aikido seminar with Yamashima Takeshi Sensei. It was more than a return to international practice — it was a meaningful reunion with my teacher and Aikido friends after a long time apart.

Training again under Yamashima Sensei, alongside friends from Mumei Shudan Dojo, reminded me that Aikido extends far beyond the practice itself. Through keiko, conversations, shared meals, and time spent together, friendships continued naturally from where they had left off.

I returned home with new insights, renewed inspiration, and many experiences to share with my students at Yuko Shinzen Dojo. These moments from Singapore capture the spirit of that journey — returning, learning, and taking another step along the Way.
