2024 Hombu Visit
A Return to the Heart For The First Time
10th February 2024 marked my first visit to Hombu Dojo — a place long revered in the Aikido tradition. Stepping onto its tatami, I felt a stillness and strength that words could scarcely express.
We had the honor of participating in a keiko led by Doshu Ueshiba Moriteru, whose presence embodied both clarity and humility. After training, I was fortunate to meet and take photos with Doshu and his son, Ueshiba Mitsuteru, Yamashima Sensei, and many respected Sensei and Senpai from across Japan and Europe. It was more than a journey to Japan — it was a return to spirit, to silence, and to the beginning of the path.
Below are moments captured during the keiko at Hombu Dojo — led by Doshu, shared with Sensei and Senpai, and held in the quiet spirit of Aikido. Each photo is a memory, a bow, and a silent step on the path.
