International Aikido Seminar 2025
The International Annual Seminar 2025 with Yamashima Takeshi Sensei, 8th Dan Aikikai, will take place in Ho Chi Minh City from December 5 to 7, and in Hanoi from December 8 to 9.
This exceptional event gathers Aikido practitioners from across Vietnam and around the world for a rare opportunity to train with one of Japan’s most distinguished masters. The seminar promises intensive technical instruction, profound insights into the spirit of Budo, and an unforgettable experience of connection, refinement, and growth.
About YAMASHIMA Takeshi Sensei
Yamashima Takeshi Sensei, 8th Dan Aikikai, is the President and Head Instructor of Chiyoda-ku Aikikai and Aikido Nerima Sogo Taiikukan Dojo in Tokyo, Japan. He also serves as Chair of the Advisory Council at Yuko Shinzen Dojo in Vietnam.
With over 60 years of dedication to Aikido, Yamashima Sensei was a direct student of Yamaguchi Seigo Sensei and Arikawa Sadateru Sensei, both legendary instructors at Aikikai Hombu Dojo. In addition to Aikido, he is a recognized master of Shinkage-ryu Kenjutsu, one of Japan’s most esteemed classical sword traditions.
Since 2019 (excluding the COVID-19 period), Yamashima Sensei has made annual visits to Vietnam, leading seminars and supporting the development of Aikido at Yuko Shinzen Dojo. His continued presence and mentorship have played a vital role in fostering the spirit and growth of Aikido in the region.
